Indoor Saunas: Your Sun Home infrared sauna is very straightforward to assemble and doesn't require any professional experience. No power tools are required for the overall assembly besides a screwdriver for the door handle and the included Allen wrench to attach the glass to the frame. Your infrared sauna is pre-configured and designed with intelligent craftsmanship allowing all of the components to connect together easily. The intuitive Magne-SealTM system makes our saunas the easiest to assemble in the world- pieces essentially just snap together and fit into place! Before we ship the unit, your infrared sauna is assembled in the factory and is thoroughly tested to ensure it meets comprehensive quality control standards. The unit is then disassembled, packaged it up, and shipped it to your home in perfect condition. Assembly of your Sun Home infrared sauna takes around 120 minutes depending on the size of the model (2-4 person in-home infrared sauna models available) or whether you are purchasing a Sun Home Equinox model or Sun Home Solstice model. Outdoor Saunas: The Sun Home Luminar sauna and the Sun Home traditional outdoor saunas are more of a comprehensive installation than our indoor saunas and require at least 2-4 people. To ensure the best experience possible we do recommend using a contractor for installation but it's not required if you are proficient in assembling furniture or items of that nature. Before purchasing, we suggest watching this assembly video and installation manual which outlines every step in the installation process and what is required. Assembly of your Sun Home sauna takes approximately 3-4 hours depending on the size of the model (2-5 person sauna models available). Any electrical service for your sauna must be performed by a qualified and licensed electrician with complete knowledge of local codes and regulations. Please reference the specifications tab in the product page for electrical requirements of your sauna. It is also very important to note that the delivery arrives on a large pallet curbside. Please ensure you have multiple people present at time of delivery to accept the package. Outdoor Saunas:

It is also very important to note that the delivery arrives on a large pallet curbside, so please ensure you have multiple people present at time of delivery to accept the package. Once the sauna is on the ground, you'll be responsible for moving the sauna pieces to where you want to install it. Luckily, most sauna pieces are light enough for 1-2 people to carry. To make things easier, we recommend having at least 2-4 helpers and a dolly or cart to move the heavier pieces.

Infrared & Traditional Saunas
Our goal is to make your sauna buying experience simple, efficient and easy and our promise is to ensure your total satisfaction. Shipping damage claims are rare, but they do happen. In the event of shipping damage, we will conduct an investigation and ensure your case is treated with priority. Should you need to return an item to us, please note our policy below:
Visible Loss or Damage:
Any external evidence of loss or damage that occurred during transit is considered visible loss or damage and should be noted on the delivery receipt and signed by the carrier’s agent (driver).
Concealed Loss or Damage:
Any damage that occurred during transit that was not visible at the time of delivery is considered concealed loss or damage. Due to rough handling in transit, it is possible to damage the contents of the boxes without damaging the boxes. If such a situation occurs it is important to contact us immediately for instructions on how to handle the claim. If a claim is to be filed it is important to save the packaging that the damaged merchandise arrived in. You must open all received boxes and inspect products for concealed damage within 5 business days of delivery.
Most likely the driver will not be able to wait while you open the boxes. If that is the case, please note, “Possible Concealed Damage” on the delivery receipt.
Receiving Your Shipment:
When receiving your shipment it is important to do the following:
1. Your shipment may consist of a number of individual boxes placed on a single pallet. The pallet will need to be separated to be unloaded. Your sauna will be shipped with lift gate service with a scheduled appointment for delivery. The driver will move your sauna off of the truck. Delivery is curbside only.
2. Check the shipment for any visible damage to containers. If the boxes are dented, crushed, scratched, punctured, or cut it is very important to mark this on the bill of lading. If there is a possibility of damage it may be necessary to open the box and mark the actual damage on the bill of lading. It is important to be specific.
3. Boxes that have been dropped may not show obvious signs of external damage. You may want to open these specific boxes before the driver leaves to ensure that the contents do not have concealed damage. The driver may refuse to allow you the time to open specific boxes. If this is the case, please note, “Possible Concealed Damage” on the delivery receipt. Open the boxes as soon as possible, but not later than 5 days after the delivery, to inspect for damage.
Refusing a Freight Shipment & Freight Carrier Fees for Sun Home Saunas:
If your infrared sauna shipment is damaged and unusable, it may be necessary to refuse part or all of the order. Email info@sunhomesaunas.com before refusing any shipment.
Please note that any additional freight carrier fees such as re-delivery are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise noted on your order. Liftgate service and delivery notification are standard with all orders. If additional services are requested by you and billed to us, all such fees shall then be re-billed to your credit card. If the freight carrier is unable to deliver the freight due to problems with contacting you or setting up delivery appointments, storage fees may be assessed by the carrier. In such cases, all storage fees are the responsibility of the customer and shall be billed to your credit card. Please note again, delivery is curbside only.
Indoor Infrared Saunas
Your Sun Home infrared sauna comes with a limited lifetime residential warranty (7 years) on cabinetry and heaters, and 3 years on controls. Our infrared heaters have an estimated operational life of at least 30,000 hours. With daily sauna use, these heaters will last over 100 years. All Sun Home sauna cabins are both kiln dried and air dried to 7% moisture content then each panel is pressed. This process prevents any warping or cracking of the wood. All electrical components in your Sun Home sauna are manufactured to exacting standards and every sauna is tested and run for several hours before it ships out.
For commercial saunas, the warranty includes 5 years on cabinetry and heaters and 1 year on controls, bench, floor, and backrest.
In the rare event an issue occurs with your sauna, the warranty covers the entire sauna - heaters, controls, electrical components, and wood, as well as the built-in audio system. With Sun Home Saunas, you can be confident that you’re making an investment that will last a lifetime.
At Sun Home Saunas, we use the highest quality wood in our product lines. As with any wooden structures, minor dents, scratches, and scuffs are normal and do not affect the sauna's integrity or operation.
Wood is a living material that continues to respond to climate conditions, even after being crafted into a sauna. Variations in color, grain, and the presence of fine cracks are all part of the wood's natural beauty and should not be considered defects. Occasionally, slight cracking may occur due to changes in moisture levels during normal operation, but this won't compromise the sauna's structural integrity.
Before shipping, we thoroughly inspect the wood for consistency, color, and quality. While our saunas are shipped globally, there may be slight blemishes, scratches, or scuffs on the exterior caused during transit. In most cases, these can be easily concealed with a small amount of furniture polish, oil, or other treatments. For interior blemishes, scratches, or scuffs, you may choose to leave them as they are, sand them, or apply a combination of gluing and sanding. Please avoid using treatments containing benzene or high concentrations of alcohol.
Our Limited Lifetime Warranty covers normal use for the entire product lifetime, which is defined as seven years. The warranty includes replacement parts only and does not cover crating of the glass door or freight for parts shipped after 90 days from receipt of goods. Labor and service technician costs are not included.
This warranty is applicable only to the original retail or wholesale purchaser and ends upon transfer of ownership. To be eligible, the sauna must be purchased and used within one year of the manufactured date. The customer is responsible for freight charges to and from Sun Home Saunas, including those for parts shipped to enable sauna servicing.
Please note that this warranty becomes void if the sauna is altered, misused, abused, or exposed to water. Such instances include operating or maintaining the sauna contrary to the published instructions or using it on a non-dedicated circuit. The warranty covers manufacturing defects but not damages resulting from mishandling by the owner.
Sun Home Saunas shall not be liable for any loss of use of the sauna or any incidental or consequential damages. Neither Sun Home Saunas nor its representatives will be held responsible for injuries to persons or damages to properties. Specifications are subject to change without prior notice.
This warranty is limited to customers in the United States and Canada. International customers should inquire with their local Sun Home Saunas representative.
**Important: If you place the sauna outdoors, it is essential to utilize the .004 plastic sheet we provide as additional water protection for your sauna. While the fabric used for the roof of the waterproof cover is resistant to water penetration, it is sewn to the acrylic canvas sides. To protect the sauna from water damage and maintain the warranty, please place the plastic sheet directly over the sauna roof before installing the cover and adding an object on top to elevate the fabric for water runoff. The cover should remain on the sauna at all times, including while it is in use, to prevent water damage and voiding the warranty.
Infrared Blankets & Red Light Therapy
Sun Home Saunas offers a complete 1-year warranty on all components of the Infrared Sauna Blankets and Red Light Therapy devices. If the device or controller stops working within the first year, please email info@sunhomesaunas.com with your order number so we can fix or replace your item. Extended are warranties available for purchase.
Cold Plunges
Sun Home Saunas offers a 1-year residential limited warranty for the Sun Home Cold Plunge™ Pro and 1-year residential limited warranty for the Sun Home Cold Plunge™ against manufacturing defects. Please note that the warranty does not cover wear-and-tear or abuse of the product. See below for more information and limitations. Extended are warranties available for purchase.
Outdoor Infrared Saunas
Sun Home Saunas offers a 1-year residential limited warranty for all outdoor infrared saunas. This includes carbon heaters, the cabin, controller, full-spectrum heater, oxygen bar, color light and light strip. Extended are warranties available for purchase.
Traditional Saunas
Sun Home Saunas offers a 1-year limited warranty on all traditional stoves or heating elements.
GENERAL WARRANTY INFORMATION (Infrared Blankets, Red Light Therapy, Cold Plunges, Outdoor Infrared Saunas, & Traditional Saunas):
Sun Home Saunas, at its own discretion, will provide free replacement of any defective parts or components that have been installed, used, and serviced normally within the specified warranty period. If repair or replacement is not feasible, Sun Home may opt to reimburse the purchase price in exchange for the return of the product. Please note that replacement parts may not be identical to the original ones, and their availability is subject to change. These remedies represent the only available options.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS:
Warranty periods for all covered components start from the date of delivery, and are only applicable to the original purchaser or owner.
Please note that any sauna warranty becomes void if the sauna is altered, misused, abused, or exposed to water without the cover. The cover must be used at all time during any periods of precipitation. Such instances include operating or maintaining the sauna contrary to the published instructions or using it on a non-dedicated circuit. The warranty covers manufacturing defects but not damages resulting from mishandling by the owner.
This warranty does not cover the water filter or any loss of o-rings, filters, or gaskets for any cold plunge or other applicable products. Additionally, any other components not specified for the specific product in the above section will not be covered.
If using our cold plunges as hot tubs, you must use standard hot tub sanitizing chemicals such as Chlorine, like you would use in a normal spa. Bacteria easily grows in warm water if not treated with chemicals. We recommend keeping the plunge below 50°F for best performance.
This Residential Limited Warranty becomes void if the item is used in a commercial setting, altered, neglected, misused, abused, or if freight damage occurs during transit. Additionally, any repairs attempted by someone other than a designated representative, or if the failure is caused by accident, acts of God, or other uncontrollable factors beyond the control of the manufacturer, will void the warranty. Neglect, misuse, and abuse include any installation, operation, or maintenance of the item not following the instructions provided in the owner’s manual, including improper water chemistry and the use of abrasive or non-genuine cleaning agents or parts.
For products designed for indoor & outdoor use, they should still be placed in a covered area or protected in regions that experience harsh weather conditions. This warranty does not cover against heavy rain or storms.
This warranty entails the replacement of parts found to have defects in materials or workmanship that were manufactured or supplied by Sun Home Saunas. All manufacturing defects are covered. However, certain conditions are excluded from the warranty, such as damage resulting from poor water chemistry, neglected filter care and replacement, freezing conditions, power outages, insufficient attention to low water flow, or any other form of neglect, misuse, or abuse. Regular maintenance of the product is the customer's responsibility, and any issues arising from a lack of proper maintenance or water chemistry/balance will not be covered.
Repairs performed by unapproved individuals are not covered under this warranty, and the product owner assumes full liability for such repairs. This warranty is for parts only. The warranty does not cover any service or labor costs.
In the event of any liability on the part of the manufacturer, Sun Home Saunas, it shall not exceed the original purchase value of the product covered under this warranty. Sun Home Saunas will not be held responsible for any incidental damages, such as freight damage or any other consequential damage. Additionally, Sun Home Saunas is not liable for any injury or loss resulting from any defect covered under this Limited Warranty, whether incidental or consequential, including but not limited to the loss of use of the tub, even if Sun Home Saunas was aware of the potential damage beforehand.
Regular required maintenance of products, such as tightening bands on the barrels or cleaning and staining wood, is not covered by this warranty. Please refer to your assembly manual for specific maintenance guidelines.
Sun Home will not indemnify the customer against any loss, damages or legal expense.
This Limited Warranty does not cover the accessories, such as insulating covers, or any items attached to or installed on the item after the date of manufacture, nor does it cover gaining access to any component for repair or replacement. The owner accepts responsibility for repair work performed by anyone other than the manufacturer.
LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES:
Please be aware that this Limited Warranty is the exclusive warranty provided by Sun Home Saunas and supersedes any prior, contrary, or additional representations. All other warranties, express or implied, including any statutory warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed, except where prohibited by law. Such warranties, if applicable, are limited to the duration of the warranty periods mentioned above. This exclusion applies even if this warranty fails its essential purposes and regardless of whether damages are sought for breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, or strict liability in tort or under any other legal theory. In no event is Sun Home Saunas liable for any other form of damages, whether direct, indirect, liquidated, incidental, consequential, punitive, exemplary, or special damages, including but not limited to the loss of profit, anticipated savings or revenue, income, business, production, opportunity, or reputation. Please note that some jurisdictions may not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This Limited Warranty provides you with specific legal rights, and you may also have other legal rights that vary from state to state.

This Limited Warranty provides you with specific legal rights. No other warranties apply to Sun Home products except as expressly stated herein or as implied by applicable state and federal laws. You may have additional rights that vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the disclaimer of certain warranties, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
Infrared Sauna Blankets & Red Light Therapy
Sun Home Saunas stands by our products and we’re confident they will improve your quality of life. We are proud to offer a risk-free return policy. If you are within 30 days of your Blanket delivery or 45 days of your Red Light Therapy delivery and your item is in like-new condition, you may be eligible for a return.
Your return will be issued upon inspection. Please access our returns portal to get started.
If your return is approved, your total payment will be refunded within 21 days of receiving your returned item. If you purchased through one of our preferred financing partners, e.g. Affirm, extra charges may apply.
Accessories, including Premium Bamboo Inserts and Cleaning Spray, are nonreturnable.
Saunas & Cold Plunges
If an order is canceled prior to shipment, the customer will incur a $250 cancellation fee, whether she/he has paid a deposit or in full. Note that we consider your product to be “shipped” when a Bill of Lading and tracking number have been generated for a freight carrier. After products are considered shipped, cancellations are treated as returns as described below.
Per our “30 Day Risk-Free Return Policy” returns will be accepted within 30 business days of product receipt. Shipping charges on returns shall be the responsibility of the customer and all returned items must be returned in “new” or “like new” condition, in undamaged original manufacturer’s packaging, and with all original product manuals. After the product is received, inspected and verified to be in “like new” condition (not used), a full refund will be provided on the product purchase price minus any original shipping charges and minus a 25% restocking charge. For products sold with a “Free or Discounted Shipping Promotion”, the actual freight cost to originally ship the product will be deducted from your refund.
If you refuse an item delivered by a commercial shipping company for any reason other than damaged merchandise or a shipping error by us, the item shall be treated as a return and charges described above shall be applied.
Most products come with a manufacturer’s warranty which is located in/on their packaging or in their documentation. We do not provide any warranty over and above the manufacturer’s warranty.
Custom orders, private label or non-standard models are non-refundable.
All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from Sun Home's Customer Service Department. Please info@sunhomesaunas.com to obtain an RMA. No returns will be accepted or any credit granted without an RMA. To receive a credit or replacement unit, we must first have a chance to receive and completely inspect your return.
There is a 50% cancellation fee to help cover production cost losses for all traditional sauna orders as all traditional saunas are custom made at time of order.
Return Process
Please visit our returns portal or contact info@sunhomesaunas.com with your order information and details of what you are experiencing with the product to be eligible for your return. Any items returned without first contacting us will not be refunded.
For any products not properly functioning, we will assist you with troubleshooting and will replace the item entirely if we cannot fix them. Replacements are subject to current stock availability and you may experience delays.
Returned items must be sent in like-new condition in the original packaging. Any dirty, damaged, dented, scratched, unsanitary, torn or stained items, items with odors, or items missing major components may be denied a refund. This is up to reasonable discretion by our restocking team.
FAQ - Answering Important Questions
1. How long is the warranty on my Sun Home® infrared sauna?
Residential: Limited lifetime (7 years for indoor and 6 years for outdoor)
Commercial: 5 years on cabinetry and heaters; 1 year on controls, bench, floor, and backrest.

2. Will I need to hire an electrician?
Depending on the size and model of the sauna, you may need an electrician to wire a dedicated line, as you would if you were installing a common household appliance, like a washing machine. Please review the “specifications” tab on the product page for your particular unit, and provide your electrician with appropriate voltage and amperage required for the circuit.
3. Is infrared heat safe?
Infrared heat is extremely safe and our saunas in particular have virtually zero ELF/EMF. Infrared heat is so safe that hospitals actually use comparable heaters to warm newborns. Infrared is a part of nature and essential for life, and Sun Home offers the highest quality heaters available.
4. Can I put my Sun Home infrared sauna outside?
Our indoor models aren't designed for outdoor climates, but you may use them in an inclosed porch. If you do place an indoor sauna outside, you will need to purchase a cover to protect the warranty. Our sauna covers are custom made.
5. How is my sauna shipped?
Your sauna will generally be delivered 7-10 days from the date it leaves the warehouse in the United States. The sauna comes on a pallet and is easily assembled within 90-120 minutes on average.
We recommend having a friend help you out. When your sauna is ready to be delivered, our freight partner will call you to confirm a drop off date and delivery time. Your sauna will be delivered by a freight truck with a lift gate to mitigate any potential damage and ensure an easy drop-off experience. The driver will transport your sauna off of the vehicle with a pallet jack and move it to your front door or desired entrance point. Once the sauna is dropped off, simply open the packages and boxes, fit the wall panels into the right place, and connect the heaters. Customers report that assembling the sauna is very similar to building furniture - no power tools or construction experience are required.
6. How do I maintain my Sun Home® infrared sauna?
Sun Home® infrared saunas require very little maintenance and cleaning. The high quality wood is anti-bacterial and self-cleansing and the enclosed cabins protect the inside from dust and dirt.
It is best to treat the exterior of the sauna like any piece of high quality furniture. You can always wipe the interior down with a disinfectant spray. Stains from sweating may develop over the years. They do not affect the performance of your sauna, however, you can always easily remove them with light sanding.
7. What type of base does my Sun Home® infrared sauna require?
You can install your sauna anywhere in your house, garage, deck, patio, yard, etc. as long as the floor is solid and level. Please pay attention to any weight loading limits of the desired surface when the sauna is filled to capacity with people.
8. How much does it cost to operate the electric heater?
All our sauna heaters operate efficiently at either 120V or 220V. This would compare to an electric oven or clothes dryer. Unlike a hot tub that you would keep on on all the time, Sun Home® infrared saunas only take power when you are using them.
Due to the efficiency of Sun Home' infrared heaters, the typical cost for operating a sauna is around 30 cents per session.
